I am an Orthodox Christian monk living in the All-Merciful Savior Monastery on Vashon Island in the state of Washington in the country of America.
It will be thirty years as a monastic this coming month of October of 2018, and it has definitely been a lengthy and event-filled handful of decades for me. This will be a scratchpad of sorts for me to type out and organize my thoughts, impressions, ideas, opinions, likes and dislikes, perhaps even with the eventual use of them being published elsewhere. It will also be a sort of central location for some Orthodox Christian resources I often make use of – perhaps others may also find them of use?
One of the main uses of the site will be a written record of the pilgrimages I have been greatly blessed to have had the opportunity to make and some of the wonderful people I have been able to meet, first and foremost among whom were the wonderful, kind and loving Elders Dionysius (Ignat) and John (Shova), who ended their lives in the Kellia of St. George which is part of the skete of Kolitsou (or Colciu) on Mt. Athos in Greece.
