Today is the commemoration of St. Cuthbert of Lindisfarne … possibly the first Orthodox saint I remember encountering and who has shown himself to be a very quiet, unobtrusively present heavenly protector for some decades now.
I was very blessed to be able to make a pilgrimage to his tomb in Durham Cathedral back in 1999!
